Above are images of some of our tethered ballon photo equip.
Click here for a video of our remotely controled balloon camera mount.

Below are pics of one of the planes that we use (a Piper Super Cub) and two of our pilots (Kevin Dunshee and Ed Widener)

Above is an "artsy" pic of our mast camera system mounted to a truck and extended to 53 feet.

Heron Aerial Imaging currently has a tethered balloon-mounted camera system; an extendable pole system; gyro stabilized, vibration-damped camera mounts for verticals and obliques from commercial aircraft. In terms of cameras, we utilize high-quality, professional digital SLR cameras and HD video cameras.

NEWS FLASH! (05/11/2007): Heron Aerospace has partnered with Silver Linings Aviation in the Purchase of a Cessna 206 that has been specially modified for Aerial Imaging Work. On a historical note: This is the same "spy plane" that they used to photograph the "Demilitarized Zone" between North and South Korea (Cool!).

This aircraft will greatly expand the products, services and capabilities that can be offered byHeron Aerospace's Aerial Imaging and GeoServices Divisions.

We also have access to a LIDAR system through a fractional ownership arrangement with a California company; and we have access to a variety of aircraft, pilots, photographers, and analysts.

For post-processing of images we use a variety of tools ranging from Adobe Photoshop and Bibble, to various panoramic software tools and utilities for creating interactive 3-D virtual tours. Where appropriate we have at our disposal a variety of Scientific/Mathematical software tools for image analysis/processing ranging from SciLab/Scios, MatLab, Mathematica, and GRASS GIS.

Our computer hardware platforms are top-notch! . . . consisting of three dual processor systems, a quad processor system, a six-processor system, and 2 single processor systems (all of which have gobs of RAM!).
